It all started after my own wedding in 2022. I spent months thrifting, collecting, and styling every little detail to get that vintage-meets-boho look I love. I was always finding something new to add to my collection, and honestly, I loved every minute of it.
Fast forward two years, and my younger sister was getting married. Instead of her having to start from scratch, I loaded all my decor into a cargo trailer, hauled it out to her farm, and watched how much easier it made everything. We laughed about how convenient it was to have everything in one place, ready to go.
And that's when it clicked. What if other brides could do the same thing?
I wanted to make decorating for your wedding easier, more affordable, and a whole lot less overwhelming. No spending months tracking down decor, no filling your house with bins you'll never use again, and no sketchy Marketplace meetups. Just one trailer packed with beautiful things, ready for you to make your own.
And just like that, Borrowed Hitch was born.

The idea was simple: what if all the wedding decor you needed came packed in one trailer — ready to go, no chaos required? That’s how Borrowed Hitch was born.
I live on a farm near Homefield, Saskatchewan, with my husband Mark and our dog Honey. I'm a collector of pretty things, a lover of all things vintage and unique, and the kind of person who will absolutely try to build something herself before buying it.
When I'm not curating wedding decor, you can usually find me working on rental properties, starting another DIY project, or probably bringing home something else I definitely didn't need but couldn't leave behind.
I love the little details that make a space feel special, and I love finding ways to bring an idea to life. That's a big part of why I started Borrowed Hitch. I know how much time, money, and energy can go into creating the wedding you've pictured in your head, and I wanted to make one part of that process a little easier.
At the end of the day, I'm here to help you create a wedding that feels like you, without having to buy, store, and track down every little thing yourself. You bring the vision, and I'll bring the trailer.

Yes! We now offer self-pickup directly from our farm! If you've got a capable tow vehicle and feel comfortable hauling a loaded trailer, this can be a great option.
A few things to keep in mind: our trailer is packed with carefully curated, one-of-a-kind vintage decor, and the highway stretch between us (the 52) can be rough so we ask that whoever's towing has experience and a properly rated hitch setup. We'll walk you through everything at pickup so you feel confident heading out.
Prefer to leave the logistics to us? We also offer full delivery and pickup, we'll personally bring Borrowed Hitch to your venue on Thursday and collect it the following Monday, so every piece arrives secure, clean, and ready for your dream setup. Delivery is available as an add-on to your package.
Either way, we want your experience to be stress-free from start to finish!
Can I pick up the trailer myself?
Yes! We offer custom Cricut-cut signage as an add-on. Just let us know what you need when you book, and we’ll work with you to create personalized signs that fit your wedding style. We have signs available, but if you just need the letters for your own signs we can create that!
Can I request custom signage? How does that work?
Please make sure all decor is returned clean, dry, and packed neatly back into the trailer—just like it arrived. No deep cleaning needed, but items should be free of dirt or moisture before you load them up. If something gets damaged, just let us know right away. We understand that accidents happen and will work out a fair, stress-free solution together. (And hey, a little broken glass on your wedding is still good luck, right?)
What do I need to do after the wedding, and what if something gets damaged?
Yes! You can absolutely use anything you want from the trailer. Whether you want to style with a few key pieces or go all out and use everything inside, it’s totally up to you the trailer is packed with plenty of gorgeous decor ready to bring your vision to life. Extra items are also available for rent including: chair covers, tablecloths, glass drinkware, champagne fountains, furniture, and the party tent.
Can I pick and choose which items I want from the trailer?
Everything inside the trailer is included—arches, signage, florals, candles, vintage vases, lights, fabrics, and more. No hidden fees or surprise charges. You get the whole package to style your wedding your way. Check out our inventory page for a full detailed list with photos! A few key items are extra (due to extra cleaning required): 20x20 party tent, linens, wine glasses, drink fountains & the antique white couch.
What’s included in the flat rate fee?
To secure your date, a $500 deposit is required. This also serves as your damage deposit and is refunded after your event if everything is returned in good condition.
Once your deposit is received, your date is locked in. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your wedding.
We’ll connect closer to your date to confirm details like pickup or delivery and go over everything in your contract.
Cancellations must be made at least 30 days in advance to avoid charges.
